Here Is What You’ll Need To Make Your Mason Jar Crafts For Kids:

Mason Jar Crafts For Kids

  • Empty cleaned glass jars with labels removed
  • A variety of animal toys
  • Glue that can stick plastics and metals (for this one, we used E6000 glue.)
  • A skewer and throw away lid/tray
  • Spray paint in any color of your choice (we used Rust-oleum, which you can spray on plastic & metal, and it also includes a primer.)

Here’s What You Do To Create These Mason Jar Crafts For Kids:

Next, arrange the toy animal figurines on the jar lids and see if you like how they look. Certain animals might look better on a smaller jar, and vice versa.

If you’re happy with the animal toy you selected for a certain jar, then it’s time to stick it onto the lid. Use a skewer to put glue on the animal’s legs and if there’s any extra, remove the excess glue using the other end of the skewer.

Allow it to dry overnight and make sure the next day that the animal toy is firmly attached to the jar lid before moving on to the next step.

The next step is to spray paint the lid part. Make sure to cut up cardboard for a spray booth you’ll need to avoid a messy art area. Spray paint can be toxic, so do this step outside.

You can use old glass jars to keep the lids in place every time you spray or hold the lid yourself. Keep rotating and spraying until you get a nice, fine layer of paint on the lid and the animal toy.

When you’re done spraying on the lid, leave it overnight and let it set. Don’t touch it too soon or else, you will leave unwanted fingerprints or take the paint off.
